Growing moss in sun

Q: How can I grow nice moss as sun doesn's seem to agree with moss, while most trees require sun?

A: There are many varieties of moss and several require sunlight. Unfortunately most of them need a damp atmosphere and not having any roots it is difficult to create ideal conditions, especially in our drying summer winds.

Random Bonsai Tip

Tying roots - Rubber rings (approx one centimeter thick) cut from a motor car tube, have many uses. For example use to tie roots in a Root over rock planting - they also make good garters!
