Members of the Cape Bonsai Kai gather on a monthly basis for workshops. The main goal of these workshops are for club members to bring trees to work on. During the workshop you will gain input from senior members and be able to share ideas, learn techniques or as Tony Bent loves to say "do boring chores like wiring!"

Workshops are held by the club, hosted at member's houses for club members only. The workshops usually begin at 13h30 and carry on till around 16h00. Be sure to check when the next workshop is in order to attend and make the most of these valuable opportunities to improve your trees and have a bit of fun while doing it.

Random Bonsai Tip

Use vinegar and water to remove moss but it is not as effective as using Limestone Ammonium Nitrate (LAN) and water. Be very careful not to spill any of the LAN on the roots of the bonsai tree as it may burn them and may in the worst case cause the tree to die. Carefully paint the LAN and water mix on the trunk of the bonsai tree and within days you should see the moss turn brown and die.
