Boland Bonsai Kai is a bonsai club based in Stellenbosch. Meeting every last Saturday of the month at 09h00, they invite you to join other enthusiastic bonsai growers at the Oemf-restaurant in Stellenbosch, behind Agri Mark.
2 Eastern Province Bonsai Society
The society promotes the art of Bonsai and aims to further members’ knowledge of Bonsai as well as the techniques thereof. The society was founded by the well known late Gwen Skinner on the 15th September 1969 and is based in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.

Random Bonsai Tip

Sacrifice branches can be used to thicken up the branches or the trunk by taking advantage of the auxins in the terminal bud. A low branch could thus be used to thicken the base of the trunk and so improve the taper.
